Combined tour 'To the bottom of the Belukha mountain and rafting down the Katun river'

TOUR PROGRAM

Day 1 (16.08.04)
Moving from Ust-Kamenogorsk to the Yazevoe lake (480km, 12 hrs).

Day 2 (17.08.04)
The Yazevoe lake - down camp Kok-Kol (26 km)

Day 3 (18.08.04)
Radial hike to the Berelsky glacier. (6+6 km)

Day 4 (19.08.04)
Down camp Kok-Kol - the Yazevoe lake (26 km). The Yazevoe lake - a picturesque lake on the south-western side of the Belukha mountain. Its dimension is relatively small: 1,0x0,4 km. There is coniferous wood near by upwards becoming Alpine meadows. Here you can enjoy the most beautiful view on the Belukha mountain, which reflects in the lake surface if the weather is good.

Day 5 (20-21.08.04)
Celebrating program on the Yazevoe lake: actors' and singers' concerts and competitions, if wished - visit of the Berel archeological excavation, one-day rafting down the Berel and Bukhtarma rivers, press-conference

Day 7 (22.08.04)
The beginning of rafting down the Katun river. Preparation of rafting equipment. Passing of 'Three stones' threshold . Spending night in the Kara-blag river mouth before 'Five cheecks' threshold. (25 km)

Day 8 (23.08.04)
Checkup of 'Five cheeks' thresholds, insurance organization. Passing of thresholds and rafting continuation. 'Prison' and 'Vishnyaki' threshold. Night near the Zelenka river mouth. (30 km)

Day 9 (24.08.04)
Passing of thresholds 'Clock ' and 'Knee' (40 km).

Day 10 (25.08.04)
Continuation of rafting up to the Koks river (15 km). Termination of rafting in Ust-Koks (15 km).

Day 11 (26.08.04)
Departure from USt-Koks settlement to Ust-Kamenogorsk. (300 km)
